I am looking for an app or means to manually initiate the Windows screen saver and it’s related password protection of my system. I was previously work with a windows domain based system that provided such a function via the ctrl, alt, del keys which popped up a box allowing screen saver activation, password changes etc. But now I am running a stand alone computer on my desk and would like to be able to lock the system when I walk away from my desk, but have not found a quick way of doing it. Any help and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am running a Lenovo SL500 laptop if that has any significance.
    Thanks Doc

You will find instructions on how to do this here.

Personally I just use Windows key + L.
