Screen corruption (Access/Windows XP)

All of our XP machines occasionally demonstrate a screen corruption (see attachment). I think it has something to do with tool bars and menus. When it occurs it sits on top of the Access screen, it also appears on top of the desktop, but is hidden by other apps. Has any one else seen this? Is there a solution?

Do the computers each have (more than) the recommended amount of memory? That would be my first guess,

This looks more like a resources issue than anything. You appear to have a BUNCH of other apps running at the same time and something is sucking up the system resources needed to repaint the screen.

Could be the case, it’s hard to reproduce on demand…
Both machines that I’ve seen it on have 256 meg of ram and the lowest spec machine is a PIII 733, I’ve seen it happen with just access and outlook open, but only when I’ve had the forms open in design view. The odd thing is, you can’t see it in this screen dump, but when access is maximized the area that appears to retain the image of the start menu looks just like the toolbar, I and a colleague have occasionally clicked on it and then realised that the toolbar is actually closed…

Another suspect in this sort of thing is the display driver for the video card being used. However that should show up in other applications as well, so if you aren’t seeing it in anything other than Access, that would make that possibility remote.
