Scheduling Rules (Outlook 2000)

I have a rule setup to automatically copy every email received in my inbox to a .pst on my hard drive. All work related personal folders are on my server to be backed up. This setup works great, except when I dial in from home and the rule bogs down my system. Is there a way to schedule it or prevent it from happening when dialed in remotely?

I take it you’re using some kind of remote control to operate your work system. That can have it’s challenges. One thing that might work for you is to set up a separate profile and have Outlook prompt for the profile to use. The 2d one would have it’s own settings.
