• Saving data from a Word 2010 form

I need to save the data only from a Word 2010 form. However, when I set the saving to be as delimited text file, I get and empty file.
    These are the instructions:
File, then Options and Advanced, scroll to Preserve Fidelity When Sharing This Document, and select the Save Data As Delimited Text File check box.

In 2003 this works like a charm. In 2010 I get an empty txt file.
Has anybody seen this before and/or is there a btter way to handle this?

    Thanks,,

Does your Word 2010 document actually contain completed formfields?

It appears that those save options only work for legacy form fields.

Are you using the new Content Controls or the legacy form fields?

        What are legacy form fields?
We are using the new 2010 form with the fields that come with it.

Legacy Formfields are accessed via the same panel of the Ribbon’s Developer tab as the Content Controls you’ve been inserting. If you click on that button, you’ll see a whole set of Formfields & ActiveX controls that you can use.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
