Hi All … I have a macro that will apply a list data validation to a given cell. The list is based on a named range. This named range varies based on the value of another cell. My question is this: How can I get this macro to run automatically when the cell is entered?

      Cat,

Don’t delete your mail and repost it. I have just send you a reply that disappeared somewhere due to this. Anyhow, here is a possible solution to what you want, using the WorkSheet_Calculate event. This is because the worksheet_change event is not triggered when data validation is used for data entry. I use a dummy formula to trigger the ‘calculate’ event and some code in the Worksheet_calculate event to change the lists of products, depending on the vendor.
      Hope this helps.

Sorry, HP. I thought the original post was “too general” and that no one would help me then. I am now trying the WorkSheet_Calculate event. Thanks again.
