Rules Worse than OE??? (XP)

Due to the requirement of using “Full MAPI” for integration with another program, I “updraded” from Outlook Express to Outlook. Is it really true that you cannot set up a disjunctive rule, one that checks for several different conditions (such as a word in the subject OR a word in the sender OR a word in the recepient)?

I also get a lot of junk mail from overseas, most with characters such as

You may have resolved these issues already, but…

• On the mail filters, have you tried setting up a separate rule for each of the offending characters? Yes, it is rather tedious, but Outlook Rules tend to be rather finicky, and once one part of the Rule goes down it has been known for the whole Rule to go down.
• Outlook has never had Newsgroup capabilities – due to its main origin as a link-in with a mail server. Thus, you will have to run OE just for that purpose.[/list]HTH

I’ve just installed – 2 days ago – a free spam filter from cloudmark. So far it has installed and run exceptionally well… it’s based upon a database of (un)known spammers. You tell the prog. that this message is spam (click on the icon) and you never get bothered again!
