Is there an image on your system that’s sideways-for
example, a photo you scanned the wrong way? No need to open
a fancy image-editing program. You can rotate a picture
    from inside My Pictures.

Open your My Pictures folder and locate the image you want
to rotate. Right-click it and select Rotate Clockwise or
    Rotate Counter Clockwise.

..you have to RClick (an image type file, from within any folder) and select Preview first, and the options to rotate appear as a line of icons below the image.

Are you viewing your “my Pictures” in “thumbnail” view mode? That’s the only way I can get the rotate option on the right click menu with my Windows XP explorer.
If you don’t want to use thumbnail view, then Merc’s suggestion is the next best thing.

You may want to advise emazing.com that their tip on this is missing a bit of info (the thumbnail part). they do have a feedback email address on their website.

Even neater – if you choose “filmstrip” view, you don’t even have to right click – the selected picture is previewed right in explorer and the rotate buttons are shown below it… cool… I’m learning new things about XP every day!

XP is like that, isn’t it? In 98, there were 6 ways to do most things, in 2000 10, and in XP around 16, I’d say.

So, what you’re saying is that they actually don’t improve the product all that much? Just change the file structure, add security (for those who understand how to use it as an advantage), add about 6 different ways of doing the same thing, and force their whole .Net scheme upon everyone? evilgrin

        Gladys and others,

Thanks for your help. At least I know my XP is working as it should be.

Gladys, I just did contact Emazing but the only way I had to do it was through “Feedback”

        Again, thanks to all.
