The Pro version (lifetime license) is on 3.2.1.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!
We all have our own reasons for doing the things that we do with our systems; we don't need anyone's approval, and we don't all have to do the same things.

That is the subscription model; lifetime license, but annual fee.

Mine is not a subscription model, but I still get updates.

@bbearren So why do you use a version that’s five years old?

MARCH 20, 2018 REVO UNINSTALLER PRO VERSION 3.2.1

            • #2547809

@bbearren So why do you use a version that’s five years old?

For the same reason that I drive an F150 that’s 22 years old.  It does everything that I want it to do, and I paid for it 22 years ago.

Revo Uninstaller Pro v3.2.1 does everything that I want it to do, and I paid for it more than 5 years ago.  In the last 5 years I have not spent $62.25 for Revo Uninstaller Pro subscription renewal.

              Revo-Tools

It works just fine with Windows 11 Pro 22H2, does everything that I want it to do, and does nothing that I don’t want it to do.

So “still” here means “until five years ago”?

So “still” here means “until five years ago”?

Every update of every piece of software is not necessarily a version update.  Windows Updates are a good example.

In the Revo Uninstaller revision history, version 4.0.0 “Added – New Module – History Cleaner – combining Windows Cleaner, MS Office Cleaner, Browsers Cleaner”.  I have that in v3.2.1, although it is not listed in 3.2.1 or any prior versions.

The last update I received (not a version update, just an update) was ~six months ago.  I’ve been using Revo Uninstaller Pro for a good twelve or thirteen years.

And again, it does everything that I want it to do, and nothing that I don’t want it to do.  I can see no reason to go to a subscription model.  Some of the utilities I use are more than five years old, yet are still totally useful and sufficient, handling Windows 11 22H2 with aplomb.

Every update of every piece of software is not necessarily a version update. Windows Updates are a good example.

              I disagree with that.

All Windows updates come with a new build number; or new version number for components like Update Stack Package, .NET, Defender definition, MSRT etc.

Your screenshot above shows those three items separately and no History Cleaner combining them.

… I can see no reason to go to a subscription model. …

Not if you don’t want to get updates.

Every update of every piece of software is not necessarily a version update. Windows Updates are a good example.

              I disagree with that.

I get every update that Windows offers, and I check for updates frequently.  I have a shortcut on my desktop for Winver.exe.  I run it after every update, and not every update I receive changes the build number. Security Intelligence Updates for Microsoft Defender Antivirus do not change the OS build number, and Microsoft calls them Updates.

March 14 changed to Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1413).  I’ve had eight Security Intelligence Updates for Microsoft Defender Antivirus since March 14, and still running Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1413)

Your screenshot above shows those three items separately and no History Cleaner combining them.

Yet they are there, clearly available, just one click away, not two.

              What changed in that update?

Improved – Scanning algorithms for leftovers
              Fixed minor bugs

Not if you don’t want to get updates.

But I do get updates.  They are offered from time to time when I open Revo Uninstaller.

None of that contradicts what I said:

All Windows updates come with a new build number; or new version number for components like Update Stack Package, .NET, Defender definition, MSRT etc.

At Settings, Windows Update, Update history, Definition Updates every Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus has its own new version number.

Yet they are there, clearly available, just one click away, not two.

Exactly. So your 3.2.1 does not have the “Added – New module” of 4.0.0 that you claimed.

Reverting back to my original post, I don’t recall ever seeing a lifetime license offer. Is it still available?

If you put “Revo Uninstaller 3.2.1” into your favorite search engine, some results will show availability with license, but I haven’t looked into that personally.

All Pro versions have a lifetime license:

Is the license of Revo Uninstaller Pro a lifetime license?
You can continue using your activated version, for which you have purchased a license, for as long as you want.
