I carelessly downloaded the Pro version for a computer when all I really needed was the Free version. If I leave it alone, it will expire in 30 days. What happens then? Will it function as the Free version, or not at all? I didn’t see the answer on the Revo site.

If it stops functioning altogether, it seems to me that I will have to uninstall it in order to use the Free version.

      J.Hensley,
Hello, i have also tried the “pro version” and it seems like a good program but a bit “pricey” so i decided to stick with the “free” version. I’m pretty sure that it (pro version) comes with an “uninstaller” so all that you need to do is uninstall, then download the “free version” Regards Fred

You would need the RevoUninstaller Pro version to remove any 64-bit software (native 64-bit), and it does clean up bad installs for which there is no longer an uninstaller or an Add/Remove Programs listing. Otherwise, for 32-bit Windows, I would stick with the free version. Switching between the Free Trial and the Free Version is just a matter of installing the Free version, then — wait for it — using the Free Version to completely remove the Free Trial! Actually not a bad idea. Follow up with CCleaner (free and supposedly 64-bit compatible).

Thank you, bobprimak. I will be buying the Pro version for the Win 7 64 bit install, but the other computer is just regular ol’ XP 32 bit and didn’t need the Pro.

I think I will try what you said! I’m still just curious whether the Pro version stops entirely when the trial runs out, and I was wondering if anyone else knew. Of course, I can wait a month and see for myself.

I did the exact same thing when I was installing Revo on a friend’s computer. Since the machine was on site, I installed Free to uninstall Pro. Worked just fine!
