• Reverting to regular old Outlook

Windows 11 Home on a PC. I’m trying to follow the Registry Edit to revert to the regular Outlook that I had in Office 365. No button to turn it off. I do not have a key UseOutlookNew. I do have 2 keys that have Outlook New in them. Should I set both of these to zero?

I do not have a key UseOutlookNew

It’s UseNewOutlook not UseOutlookNew and, if it’s not there, you need to create it.

Right-click an empty area in the section contained those other Outlook New entries and select new > DWORD.

      NewDWORD

Name it “UseNewOutlook” and, by default, it’ll already be set to zero.

Which Outlook are you using? The desktop Office version? The “new” Outlook that has replaced the built-in Mail app in Windows? The web interface at Outlook.com?

Desktop Office 365. Since I didn’t have the registry key referred to in the Microsoft article, I tried just choosing regular Outlook from the Start menu. And it worked! I got back the interface I like, including color coding certain people. And got rid of the check boxes which annoyed me. Thanks for getting back to me.
