When you minimize windows media player to the task bar there is a message with a check box that explains the procedure, the check box has been checked so the message does not reappear.
How can this be restored?

1st: right-click on task bar — click on first(?) item in the context menu (called here “Symbolleisten”) — make sure the entry “media player” is NOT ticked
2nd: Start – Run – REGEDIT: go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftMediaPlayerPreferences — change the value of ShowMinimizeDialog to 1
