    Good morning loungers
    The Problem
I want to ensure that a duration for 9 hrs work remains as 1 day with 100% of 1 resource.

I did not alter the base calendar.

1 Create a new resource calendar for slaves. Alter working time to create a 9hr day.
2 Assign the calendar to the resource on the resource sheet
3 Create a task, specify work as 9 hrs , assign 1 slave resource 100%

    Result
    duration > 1 day or resource allocation > 100%

    What am I doing wrong?
Surely I do not have to alter the base calendar.
Does it matter whether I specify the resource cal is based on a copy of standard or not?

    Thank you in anticipation
    Geof

If you go to the Resource Information dialog box on the General tab you can display different units of availablilty by resource.
      See attached screen example.
