I usually have my computer remember my logon and password details for the lounge. However, my ‘puter seems to have developed selective amnesia amd doesn’t even ask me to let Windows remember them.
How can I get Windows to do so.

      Hey Rob,
Any new cookie blocking software, firewall software upgrades / updates, Internet security settings changes ??? The lounge remembers you by a cookie in your Temporary Internet Files folder. If you have recently begun doing complete manual clean outs of your Temporary and Temporary Internet Files folders then you are also deleting the cookies placed by “friendly” websites for your convenience. So what’s changed recently on your system or in your computing habits ??

        Hi Doc Watson,
Most of your list applies including TIF and index.dat cleaning. I realised this was the cause and I am trying to find out in principle how manually to get Windows to store it(them). I can’t find any menu to provide this option.
        Any ideas?

Just found it. Sorry to waste your time. The option’s in Internet Tools/Options/Content/Personal Information/Autocomplete.

If a problem is solved, no time is wasted. It was spent teaching or directing and learning or discovering.

          Glad I could help bow
