Reseting the last cell on a worksheet (Excel 2000 SR-1)

Hello,

I have a worksheet that has the last cell listed as being in column “IV”, which is the very last column. However, the actual last cell is in column “H”. I would like to reset the last cell so that it matches the actual last cell. I have tried deleting the entire columns and I have also tried the procedure listed on John Walkenbach’s web site, but neither has worked.

If any one can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

It took care of most of the sheets in the workbook. But there are still a few stuborn ones that will not reset the last cell. I am happy with the results, but do you know why these three sheets cannot have the last cell reset?

Do they have formatting in empty cells? A cell that is formatted is “in use”

No, I clear all contents and formatting from the cells.
