Somewhere a while back, I was able to reserve a drive letter for my CD drives so that they would not change whenever I added or turned on my third rack mounted hard drive i.e. CD ROM was always something like (N) drive. For the life of me, I cannot remember whether I did this in Windows via explorer or the bios. Any ideas out there?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

Control Panel—>System Properties—>Device Manager—>select CDROM and expand—>select the particular drive (if more than one)—>Properties—>Settings—>Reserved Drive Letters, and make your choice from the drop-down menu, selecting the same letter in both the Start and End boxes. Voila! -
