The original bug didn’t crash Outlook for ANY attachment, so it’s not the same bug.

That’s true. I assume the anonymous poster is referring to Issue #1 here, but corroboration would be greatly appreciated.

I’m seeing the same thing, installed this patch on WIN10 system with Office 16, crashing Outlook when opening any attachment.

So this happens even if the attachment is not an RTF file?

How does it crash? (Blue screen? Just dies?)

        Which version of Win10?

And… most importantly… if you uninstall 4011052, does the bug go away?

        Thanks!

I’ve just installed the Office 2010 update KB 2956078 on my Windows 7 machine without any problem. I tested opening a Word doc attachment directly from a previous trusted email without any problem. However, I do not use Outlook.

Thanks. It’s starting to sound like a bogus report….

KB2956078 causing the searching to stop working again (like with KB3203467) if you’re using GSuite Sync

      I got the same problem.

My system is Win10 Office 2016. Outlook works if I don’t open without attachment.
It doesn’t when I open with any attachment.
