When Filter-by-Form is used (in a form), I want to run a report based on the same filter criteria.
It’s simple enough to run the report filtered by the matching primary key as the current record in the form, but I cannot figure out how to set the reports filter to match the form’s because filter-by-form puts form-specific language (forms!formname.field=…) into the form’s filter, which does not work with the record.

      Try http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ar…FR=0&qry=filter records on form&rnk=25&src=DHCS_MSPSS_tech_SRCH&SPR=ACC2000

Thanks for your response. This ‘solution’ is what I first tried. I have finally found SUCCESS!
There’s one detail that I overlooked: both the form and report must be based on the same query (or table), so that the filter’s use of the queryname.field syntax will work in both objects. That’s the key.
