OK, maybe I’ve missed this in my search but I can’t believe this is not as widespread an issue as it appears.

I want to rename a table and NOT the ‘references’ in the corresponding queries. Now, I can see the usefulness in affecting the name change in corresponding objects, and I could certainly see if it were reflected only at a field name change. But everytime I replace one data set (table) with another, my queries get screwed up and I have to go back in manually edit the SQL.

Is there a way to turn this functionality off? It wasn’t in Tools/Options much to my chagrin.

So, hopefully this is as obvious as it seems and I won’t need to post code to have it ring a bell with anyone.
Thanks in advance for any help rendered.

It is in Tools/options… Look for “Name Auto Correct” and uncheck the Track name AututoCorrect Info
