Is there a way to rename the folder in C:Documents and SettingsThis one with the User Profile name without creating a new administrator and moving all the contents from one to the other please.

Patch reliability is unclear, but widespread attacks make patching prudent. Go ahead and patch, but watch out for potential problems. |

Why do you need to do this?
Most methods that I can think of are very risky, and could leave windows thoroughly confused. Unless your need is very great I would recommend leaving it alone.
Have you considered creating a completely new user account with the name you want, copying the things you want to keep, and then deleting the old account and profile?

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ll leave it alone as it is working well at the moment. I wish I could set up a new User account but each time after doing so I can’t log into it. The system freezes. It’s a second hand PC and it was loaded with several viruses and 7 of those expensive dialers. When the guy I bought it off returns from overseas, I will get all the manuals and disks and will reformat it.
Thanks to all who replied, I was hoping there was an easy fix.
Cheers, Darny
