When the Preview version of Win 8 came out, I installed it in a separate partition on my Win 7 Pro PC. Now that the Win 8 Preview will be disabled (at the end of Jan., so I heard), I want to remove that partition entirely and have only the original Win 7 partition. Simply removing the partition is not going to do it as removal of the dual boot scenario probably will be necessary. I’ve no idea how to accomplish it. In the past Fred Langa articles in the Win Secrets newsletter, he covered accomplishing this – perhaps not with a Win 8 partition. Now I can’t find that newsletter and seem unable to find a corresponding entry in this Forum. Any help will be appreciated.
Why am I removing the Win 8 partition? Although I like the looks and feel of Win 8, I don’t want to upgrade at this time but will wait until I need a new PC with a touch screen. My current desktop PC doesn’t have a touch screen monitor and I don’t want to hamstring myself using the traditional interface.
