    Good afternoon

I am sending out some text in an email and I do not want a hyperlink on a web address because I want it to remain the same colour as rthe rest of the text. I remove it on my machine but when I test it by sending to my Google account it comes through showing as a hyperlink. Is there any way to sop this?

That is most likely dependent on the receiving mail system/client. I suspect gmail is just ‘trying to be helpful’. You have to check the gmail options.

Each of those programs have their own settings on displaying links. So no matter what YOU do as the sender you will NOT control what the receiver will see.

        Thanks Dave

I think had reached that conclusion as well. I sent out test mail to 20 friendly contacts and the reslt was about 60/40 that were still hyperlinked so I will have to live with it.

Not all links are recognized. If you remove http:// from the beginning, and particularly if the host name doesn’t start with www, you have a better chance of thwarting the link detector. And an even greater chance of making the link unusable by the recipients.
