I am working on a document that we need to return to the client with NO CODES or HYPERLINKS. I am using a concordance file to mark the document for index generation and then generating the Index in a separate document.

How do I remove the XE field codes when I am done. Or should I use this marked document as my working document, and just cut and paste the actual Index at the end as Rich Formatted Text?

    TIA,
    gg

      Try this:
      – Press Ctrl+Home to go to the start of the document.
      – Select Edit | Replace…
      – Enter ^d XE in the Find what box.
      – Make sure that the Replace with box is blank.
      – Click Replace All.
This should remove all XE fields.
