Remove update which does NOT appear in Installed Updates?

Hi,

I am trying to remove MS hardware updates which appear in the update history, but do not appear in the list of Installed Updates where you can remove them. It is old enough that a restore won’t get it. (I found the problem on another machine, but was able to back out using a System Restore.) Is there another way to remove them, or are they there for good?

WIN7 Pro 32 bit.

Problem updates:
FTDI – Other Hardware- USB Serial Converter 4/9/2013
FTDI – Other Hardware- USB Serial Port 4/9/2013

Have you tried rolling back the driver in Device Manager? HTH :cheers:

Yes, but this seems to be something other than a driver. Deleting the device, and the driver, had no effect when the new driver was reinstalled. I have several other devices which use FTDI drivers, and there is no problem with them. On the other machine, I found that any driver I had worked, so long as the above update was not installed.
