Remove “Save as Adobe PDF” from dropdown menu

Hi guys –

Any idea how to remove the “Save as Adobe PDF” from the leftmost Microsoft Word menu, as seen in the attached screenshot?

Note: I don’t want to uninstall Adobe Acrobat DC.46289-02

I’m on Windows 7 Pro with Office 2016.

Open AcroPro.msi.

Then modify the installation.

This is easier.  In Word, go to File > Options > Add-ins and click the ‘Go’ button (at the bottom).  From there you can either uncheck or remove the add-ins you don’t want.

I found on my office installation that this was a COM add-in not an Excel add-in. The procedure to remove it was:

1. Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Add-Ins category.
2. In the Manage box, click COM Add-ins, and then click Go.The COM Add-Ins dialog box appears.
3. In the Add-Ins available box, clear the check box next to the add-in that you want to remove, and then click OK.Note:    This removes the add-in from memory but keeps its name in the list of available add-ins. It does not delete the add-in from your computer.
4. To remove a COM add-in from the list of available add-ins and to delete the add-in from your computer, click its name in the Add-ins available box, and then click Remove.
