I understand that the Optane memory and the HDD are linked, so that If I remove the Optane, the data on the HDD will be unusable without reformatting.  Is there a way around this.  I’ve read of disabling Optane in the Itel Optane program first and then cloning the HDD to the SSD.  I’m afraid to try this with out some assurance it will work.  Anyone with any experience with this?
