    Just got a good question from reader Mike_LYou recommend Roboform for the password keeper.  However, with the elimination of add-ins in EDGE, Roboform

      No need to switch to Firefox for privacy. Just open an incognito window in Chrome. It’s “Menu”, “New incognito window”.

      @Joe

      I’m not 100% convinced that switching over to incognito mode in Chrome stops Google from harvesting URLs. If you have any definitive information, I’d sure like to see it! I know that Chrome won’t store any history on your computer while in Incognito, but I’m skeptical that Google turns off its tracking entirely. Same goes for using Google Search while in “private” mode in any browser.

      Others can harvest your info while in incognito mode, of course. See https://www.surfeasy.com/blog/google-incognito/

      I agree with all of the above. Personally, I love RoboForm and also would like to keep using Edge (for the moment); to familiarise myself with it. I have found it quite fast and stable. My own workaround, to use RoboForm in Edge, is to click Login and then the site I wish to go to – RoboForm opens (in Edge), but doesn’t populate the details required to log in. So I go back to RoboForm login and right click the site, select “edit” and cut and paste into the fields. Edge then asks me if I want it to remember the details, I say Yes – and it logs me in. The next time, I click login in RoboForm, the site opens – I might have to key in the first character of the login; but, after that, Edge then opens site.
      I would prefer that my passwords were only held by RoboForm, but Edge (hopefully) keeps the details secure(ish)???

      @Barneygoogle –

      I haven’t heard of any Edge data breaches. But I’d feel 100% better if I could use LastPass with Edge!
