As some of you know my latest craze is road running and I pleased to say that I am very happy with my progress so far after a gap of some 20 years when I was an accomplished runner.
Nowadays I tend to run at about 8.00pm of an evening when it has cooled down and the evenings are light. Coming in late from work I do not want to eat so have a break, run and then return home and look for a quick high carbohydrate meal to which I have found cous cous is perfect.
Now some of you will know cous cous is a rather bland and uninteresting meal and I like to mix in shrimp, vegetables, onions …..or just left over vegetables or meat, a 50-60 gram serving is filling enough.
Has anyone had any experience of a good tried and tested recipe ( not just a google) for cous cous that they would like to share?
