    Excel 2003 VBA.
    Hello.
If someone asked you ‘Why use VBA?’ and ‘What is it used for?’ what would you say? Can you think of a succinct
    answer to these questions?
I’m trying to answer but it’s proving difficult. (I’m tempted to say, if you need to ask the question then perhaps you
don’t need to use VBA yet – but that is not a ‘sensitive’ answer.)
    Thanks, Andy.

      Efficiency:

If you find yourself repeating the same sequence of actions over and over again, you can create a macro that performs these actions, and assign the macro to a toolbar button and/or keyboard shortcut. So performing the sequence of actions is reduced to a single mouse click or keypress.

      Complicated calculations:

Although most calculations can be performed with Excel’s extensive range of built-in functions, sometimes you need to go beyond that, or the formulas become unwieldy. Using VBA, you can create your own custom worksheet functions.
