    Good Day,

First time poster here! My organization is looking for alternatives to RealVNC as the cost has quadrupled for next year, much like everything else. I’m researching what our best options may be considering the way we currently use RealVNC.

What matters most is that the alternative meets the below criteria.

    • No Internet required to function. Only needs to operate within a WAN.
    • End-to-end encryption
    • When a user gets a VNC prompt, options should include Accept/Reject/View Only
    • Users (non-admins) can be assigned View Only capabilities with Group Policy settings

Thank you in advance for any feedback!

It’s been a while since I reviewed remote control software. [Just realized PCAnywhere and Laplink are no more 😮 ]
Depending on the size of your organization [how many xVNC licenses you use], it may be cost effective to just pay a developer to add whatever customizations you require to an existing xVNC codebase.
I did this for an employer, about a decade ago, and it worked out quite well.

Thank you for your reply, Mike. That is an avenue to consider.
