AskWoody PlusJuly 1, 2019 at 6:17 am #1864109So the max Windows 10 1903 Home can be paused for updates is 7 days?! I see “Visit Advanced options to change the pause period”; will that allow Home to go past 7? If not… welp, guess I have to pay the extra $100 for the Pro upgrade. Mostly worth it for the extra Windows Defender features…
Bought a refurbished Windows 10 64-bit, currently updated to 22H2. Have broke the AC adapter cord going to the 8.1 machine, but before that, coaxed it into charging. Need to buy new adapter if wish to continue using it.

ManagerJuly 1, 2019 at 6:21 am #1864112You can repeat the 7-day pause 5 times (35 days total).
At the end of that time, you cannot pause again until everything in the queue has been installed.
Deferrals have disappeared in the Settings GUI in 1903 Pro (both feature and quality). Microsoft has remained silent – don’t know if it’s a “feature” or a bug. They are only available through Group Policy or the Registry. -

Interesting! They seem to still be present on my 1903 Pro Installation.
Win 10 Pro Build 18362.175 or as the desktop shows Build 18362.19h1_release.190318-1202.Well this is Very Interesting! I went back to try to reset the deferral and see if there were any updates and this is the screen I got.

GuestJuly 1, 2019 at 7:07 pm #1864671The “Windows key + v” clipboard is something that all users should be aware of, not just because it can be useful but because most people won’t realise that Windows is now saving a clipboard history (which might contain sensitive data or even a copy/paste password). A quick “Windows key + v” now and then followed by clicking on the “clear all” button will keep this data safe.
