I am wanting to rank a list of data that is subtotaled – ascertaining the top 50 occurring items. I think the rank and percentile would do it; however, I can’t bring it up because I don’t see analysis under tools even though it has been checked as an add-in.

    Any ideas?

Are you sure you checked Analysis Toolpak in Tools | Add-Ins…? If so, and if you don’t have a ‘Data Analysis’ item in the Tools menu, try the following:
      – Select Tools | Add-Ins…
      – Clear the check box for Analysis Toolpak.
      – Click OK.
      – Quit and restart Excel.
      – Select Tools | Add-Ins…
      – Tick the check box for Analysis Toolpak.
      – Click OK.

Thanks. This worked but my data contains ( 2 columns) non-numeric data (1 column). Can I still use the rank/percentile function addin?

The input range must be all numeric (except the header can be a label)
