I’m trying to run a select query with the Unique Values set to yes, but I’m getting an error (“The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.). I do include a memo field that has more than 255 characters that when removed, the query runs correctly. Is this a limitation in Access?

    Thanks,
    Drew

Yes, this is a limitation of Access. You cannot include a Memo, OLE or Hyperlink field in a query with Unique Values set to Yes. Neither can you group on such fields in a Totals query.
