On form open I have the form run an SQL statement that creates a table. From the same form I wanted to have two sub forms populated from the created table. Is there any way to add something to the original SQL statement to free or unlock the created table. Because when I put the subform on the original form I got it a 3211 Runtime error message that we could not lock because table already in use.

Thank you for your time and input. Fay

    PS welcome back.

I don’t think you can do it this way – you’ll always run into timing conflicts between the main form and subforms.
Instead, I’d create a separate form. When the user opens this form, the table is created. Then, after that, your form with the subforms is opened.

A women can hope. I was guessing that would be the answer. Thanks. Fay
