    Hi,

Many companied demand from Tech.Writers/Authors that documentation be to a standard high enough to achieve ISO9000 certification. Pls. can you recommend where once can find info. on this? General info. on getting certified & then specific info. on how this relates to Document creation, processing, storage etc.
Also – if I walk into a new company where I am the first QA guy – and this company want to get certified, where can I find useful resources on this?

All sorts of Q’s then pop to mind, e.g. what’s the difference between ISO9000 and 9001?

In your info. pls. inc. as many URLs as poss. as well as any other resources.

    Thanks v. much,

    m.q.

      Here is a good start ISO9000 .
This takes about 3 years for a company to be IOSO9000 certified. The biggest issue is to document ALL of your processes and adhere to them.

Before ‘Retirement’ I when throught the first two audits of a division of a LARGE company, to be certified, we nearly failed because we did NOT do as we said we would in our documention. This is a TEAM effort, it ALL or NONE.
      Hope this helps.

If you use a search engine and searc on ISI900 you will find page after page of links.

What country are you in? I’ve got a few UK contacts somewhere I can dig out.
The bsi site might be a start.
