OK. I’m a little slow to notice some things. While researching another issue in this forum, I came across mention of Public Folder Favorites – completely overlooked in the past. The concept is wonderful. As I understand it, I drag to the Favorites folder the Public Folders I access most often, so that I don’t have to scroll through the whole list. Terrific! So, I dragged my personal public folder, which has numerous sub-folders, to the Favorites folder, only to discover that none of the sub-folders came with it.

Must I drag each sub-folder individually? Please, please tell me there’s a better way . . .? Thank you.

I have the same complaint. There isn’t a better way of using Folder Favorites that I know of, sorry. Equally annoying, Folder Shortcuts do not include the subfolder tree.

FYI – Outlook 2003 has an option of both adding sub-folders and adding any future sub-folder favorites automatically to favorites.

An annoyance though in 2003. Favorites are not automatically sync’d with the ost so are not available offline. You have to go into the advanced tab on the Exchange Server settings to tell it to download public folder favorites.

Darryl, can you tell us where that option to include sub-Folders is? I can’t find it.

When you right-click on the folder and choose Add to Favorites, click the Options button to expand your choices.

By the way … I was on a machine today with Outlook 2002 and the options were available there.
