• Pub2002 save as 2000

Bought a copy of Publisher 2002 for the church since it seemed to have some new helpful features (like print preview and work on more than one document at a time). Turns out they changed the file format again, so 2000 won’t open a 2002 .pub. 2002 will save in 2000 format (or 98 format) but there doesn’t appear to be a way to set the default save to either of those. Does anyone have a solution (VBA perhaps) that would make the default save format selectable?

      Paul,

You are correct about the incompatible formats again. However, if you are familiar with vb, you could create a macro that you could make a special button on your toolbar that would bring up a default “Save As” 2000/98. I am not familiar with VB, but it is entirely possible. FWIW, all future versions, starting with Publisher 2002 will be cross compatible. This means that Publisher 2002 will be able to open Publisher 2004 files with out the need to “Save As”.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
