Have you tried opening a floppy in a tablet?

Without knowing anything about MS Project, I would say that you should pay the $800-900 for MS Project 2016. Either that, or re-install your old operating system. Then you should have no problems. People think that Windows 10 is free, but it’s not – there is always a gotcha.

      That’s how Microsoft makes money.

The main issue with that is that project files have tons of cross compatibility issues, even just moving from 2003 to 2007, when connecting back to data in forms.

It’s going to be less of a headache to re-create the form from scratch sometimes in 2013/2016.

If it’s a legacy form, I’d almost recommend installing Hyper-V on your box, downloading the XP or Win7 official VHDs from modern.ie, activate with a valid key, and then install Project 2003 until the company can pay for the project packet to be redesigned by someone in-house or an external pro.

It’s not me; it’s the guy on Facebook.
I don’t use MS Project. I note that MS Project 2003 hasn’t been supported by MS for almost 2 years.

There should be a conversion utility to convert files. I don’t know what his previous OS was, and like most, he doesn’t say.

MSDN posts show that MDAC 2.8 won’t install on Windows 10 (given that 2.8 is 11 years old, I’m not surprised). All the recommendations are to spin up a virtual OS box with the old Windows version.
