Hi. Does anyone know of an article or site that discusses creating professional looking reports? Not necessarily the technicalities but the aesthetics of reporting. For example, recommended fonts/ size and layout choices. Thanks, Andy.

That is easily one of the most difficult questions you have asked here… blackteeth

Bring 5 Access developers together and you’ll probably get 6 wildly different opinions about what makes an aesthetically pleasing report! evilgrin

This is not specific to reports but I have found http://www.joelonsoftware.com/%5B/url%5D to be a really useful resource. There’s lots of articles and discussion boards which I am sure would be helpful.

Check out the following if you have a subscription to Smat Access for sample db’s

User Interface Standards—Reports, Dennis Schumaker, Issue Date: SmartAccess March 2002, Posted On: 3/1/2002

Many of what you think of as reports probably aren’t reports to users—which makes life difficult for both of you. Dennis Schumaker shows how to create reports that make sense to your users, along with the code to implement those reports within a set of standards.
