I am using Windows PRO and I am trying to set up my Sweex MO070UK fax modem.
Device manager lists the device (as USB Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP) and says it is working properly and has the latest drivers. When I try and send a fax the Fax Setup box appears and asks me to connect to a fax modem. After a while I get the massage “An error occurred, etc”.
I have googled this problem and it seems to be a fairly common problem. I have tried the various ‘solutions’ with no success. Can any one come up with a solution that works (and is understandable).
