Problems printing (OE5.5 NT4,SP6a)

When I print an email to local HP5L Laserjet, the first part of the page looks fine but then seems to deteriorate into a pixellated-looking mess, as if I was trying to print a greatly enlarged .BMP file. Before the end of the page the message gives out completely and shows only occasional random horizontal lines. Problem is consistent, although IE 5.5, SP2 prints fine to same printer (as do other applications). And I have no problem printing OE messages to a networked HP3100 laserprinter. Any guesses?

More a solution than a cure, but when I found all sorts of problems with the HP5 series, I simply told them they were HP4’s instead!
If no other answer is forthcoming, I’d try ‘installing’ a straight HP4 and see if that works.

(Our HP5’s and HP6’s here all have ‘HP4’ drivers – this gives us consistent margins, page lengths etc. across the range.)
