I am trying to print to a HP LaserJet 4P. Unfortunately some of the page colors do not translate well to shades of gray. As luck would have it, I cannot read the most important information (patient name, ID#). I seem to remember seeing a utility that would allow the display of the web page using a different color palette, but of course I cannot find it now. Any suggestions, other than using a color printer?

Some printers have the selection of ‘Gray scale’ vs Black’ for printing color pages. check the properties in your printer set up and or page set up with an app.

I’m on IE5.5 but I think it is the same – two things to try:

Tools | Internet Options | General then click Colors… and select your own

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced look for Printing: Print background colors

Thanks for the direction. I’ll give both a try.
