Having problems with a large word document. When sent to a printer for a single copy, it makes multiple copies of some pages but not all pages even though I requested just one copy. It does this on various printers but the next day I can print to the same printer with the same document and not have a problem. I’m baffled. Any ideas? brickwall

      Let’s see…

Document corruption comes to mind. Or, your OS
local spooler service is not working properly.

Or, if we’re talking LAN here, the print server spooler
      service is busted.

If this is the only document that hiccups, try a google
      search on “word document corruption”

We are talking a LAN and this isn’t the only time this has happened to a variety of documents and people. Is the print spooler service something that handles all print jobs for all network printers?

The Windows NT and 2000 server Printer Service (spooler) handles all
the printers installed on that server. Each server with printers
          has the printer service installed.

Keep in mind your LAN people may be by-passing the spooler
service and printing directly to the print server installed in
each printer. It can get confusing. I recommend always using
the Printer Service (spooler), for what it’s worth.
