Is this a known bug? Some of my graphics wont print, primarily screen prints, the ones that don’t print have text boxes over them, and other shapes/graphics… Why don’t these images print? And what can I do about it?

    Thanks!

      Word 97, SR2… I’m guilty… wink

What I have is a nifty box I’ve made to draw attention to a specific button in my screenprint. So, I have the Screenprint, sent all the way to the back, a smaller graphic over that, a small text box over that, and an arrow running from the small graphic towards the ‘highlighted’ button on the main form. Make Sense? dizzy

When I print, I can see screenprints without this combination Graphic/Textbox/Arrow over them. But for those that do have this graphic over them, I see only the graphic/textbox/arrow combination, not the screenprint. It’s driving me nuts any ideas?

Attach an example of GIFMeister so we can work out what is happening.

I have solved a similar problem (same software setup) by clicking on the graphic to select it, right clicking, then Order…Bring in Front of Text. This places it in front of the text box when printing. Good luck. …J.Till

      scream

Word has got to be one of the most censored retarded programs ever made! (Afterall, it is a Microsoft Product… sigh)

When composing my screenprints, I used Paint to modify them slightly. To take them from paint to word, I did a Cut/Paste operation. For some God only knows reason, Word decided that my screenprints should be grouped with Nothing. I removed the grouping, and viola!! they Print!

A tip for others w/ this issue, if your graphics are displaying a bit “chunky” they may be grouped with ‘nothing’ as well, and unprintable. I think Paint creates a modification layer which is carried over when you cut/paste. This layer doesn’t *really* exist, (That’s right kids, Paint does NOT support layers…) It’s simply a method it uses to retain modification information. MS Word 97 incorporates Paint in itself to allow for Bitmap modification, which means that bitmaps in word can retain this layer. By ungrouping the image, the layer is dropped, and life goes on.

There aren’t any adverse effects to this that i’ve seen. My bitmaps did not revert to thier original state, nor did they lose any information… It’s just another thing us ‘conformists‘ have to deal with…

      Thanks for all your help(s)!
