While attempting to print from any web page or blank home page IE generates a “script error”

I have followed some of the instructions to resolve this type of error including updating Office 2000, renaming OLEAUT32.DLL and reinstalling DCOM98 and running MCREPAIR.EXE.
Anyone encounter this specific set of symptoms rather than ones involving software installation and inaddition to the above solutions any other suggestions?
