On a new PC, there was a big warning not to have the printer connected the first time one started the computer. What if this warning was overlooked? On a Win 98 to Win XP upgrade, the printer was connected. Now it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove the driver. Is there are quick fix? I remove it, but when I reinstall, XP always finds the old driver. If I choose replace existing driver or not, it still does not work.
(I know the long way would be to REINSTALL Windows 98 and completely wipe down the hard drive. Then, I would install the upgrade to XP. Since it’s an upgrade version, I don’t think I can just do a complete wipe down/reinstall with the XP disks. This is also long because I’ll have to reinstall all software, files, etc…)
THANKS!
