I use Snag-It religiously and have for years (many). I always have the “Screen Print” key set to launch it.

After the latest update (2023-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5027231)), I found that the Snipping Tool had taken the “Print Screen” key and wouldn let Snag-It take it back.

I finally found a posting on the Techsmith website that had the solution:

    • Open Accessories
    • Select “Accessibility”
    • Select “Keyboard”
    • Turn off “Use Print Screen Key to open Snipping Tool”

BTW, uninstalling the “Snipping Tool did not fix the problem

    Regards,
    Hank Arnold
