I read a tip about previewing media files for IE4/5 users that said:

Open the Web folder in the Windows directory
    Open folder.htt in Notepad
Change the string ‘wantMedia=False’ to ‘wantMedia=true’

The effect of this change puts a media player in the left panel in Explorer with ‘play’ and ‘stop’ buttons. It allows you to preview a media file (WAV, MID, MOV, AVI, MPG) right in Explorer.

I have successfully used the tip in the past but after updating to IE5.5 it doesn’t work. What happens now is the media player is there but when I select a file it appears to play the file and leaves the ‘play’ and ‘stop’ buttons grayed out. shrug

    Any ideas?
