Note that the Group Policy editor is only in the Pro version.

The only way to create a secure version of an operating system is to unplug it from any network. Believing that MS could/would create a secure version of XP is like believing the government is capable of fixing problems, or that you’re going to win the lotto on a given weekend. Or, more graphically, being mauled by a polar bear and a grizzly bear on the same day ;-D
