Is there a way to prevent the auto running of forms/macros in Access yet still be able to view the VBA code?

Someone left the company and it’s fallen onto me to unravel the pile of scheduled jobs, access databases that populate excel workbooks and send e-mail that this former employee has running on his old PC.

Where are the macros/schedules running from:

1) Modules
2) On start up of an oblect
3) Autoexec
4) Have you pressed the [shift] key on start up of the database to bypass startup.
5) Is the database an mde or and mdb, are there hidden objects?

Actually I’m not too sure. I double click on the mdb file and it starts running something.

I just tried holding down shift and that worked! Thanks. I thought there was something simple. Thanks for the quick reply!

Try opening the database with the Shift key held down until the database window appears. Holding down the Shift key will make Access bypass the startup options, unless the designer has disabled this.

If Shift doesn’t work, create a blank new database and import all database objects from the “problem” database into the new one.
