Unfortunately there is no official support for the Power Toy collection. Did you remove it prior to reinstalling? You might also consider a System Restore to a date when you know it was working properly.

      Try this
Click Start, Run and type these commands:

      regsvr32 shimgvw
      regsvr32 phototoys

(Edited by DaveA on 02-Feb-06 14:20. To clarify my statement)

The failure of the images to be made when using Image resizer, can be the result of not enough room on the device that the files are being saved to.

NO message or error notice will be displayed.
I see this a lot on the USB Thumb drives, when people do not realize that the device in almost full.

You don’t need the powertoy image resizer. Windows XP comes with the Microsoft Picture Manager and this contains exactly the same tool built in. Click on Picture|Resize.

Microsoft Picture Manager is not part of Windows XP, as far as I know. It comes with Office 2003.

Oops! My mistake. I think you are right.

Also, when using Microsoft Picture Manager the resizing is done to the current copy, and one may NOT want that copy resized. Not only that, I can select a full folder of images and they all be be resized in a matter of seconds when using PowerToy Image Resizer.
